"Continuum" by Gillian St George

A new book in my personal art library that I am intently studying
yet have barely scratched the surface of when it comes to application, is
"Rethinking Acrylic" by Patti Brady.
Patti is the Working Artist Program Director for GOLDEN Artist Colors.
It is a book on how to use any and all of the Golden products and Patti appears
to have carte blanche when it comes to practicing with the products.  Oh to be so lucky!
She demonstrates applying gels, making skins, pouring paints,
using reflectives & metallics, as well as playing with encaustic, resists,
transfers,  collage, and subtractive techniques.

It makes my use of sponges and dripping in "Continuum" quite tame in comparison!

An energetic mingling of Anthraquinone, Ultramarine and Prussian Blue
explode out through the contemplative neutral layer of Parchment,
while the simmering heat of Pyrrole Red can hold back no longer
and it too bubbles to the surface exposing it's fiery personality. Phew!  Look out!

Stepping closer to read the informative details about a large artwork, entitled "Endless Rhythm" by Robert Delauney, a gentleman finds himself momentarily distracted from the task at hand by another piece of art around the corner.  From the Tate Modern, London.
